Heat transfer enhancement using non-equally structure in a plate-fin heat exchanger with offset fins

چکیده
In this study, a cross-flow plate-fin heat exchanger with offset fins is optimized by considering the effects of flow maldistribution for air side. For purpose, study focused on an increase in rate transfer, which can be achieved using non-equally fin structure. Numerical simulations have been carried out to investigate thermodynamic characteristics full-size porous media approach. Based numerical model, distribution, total and pressure drop are studied. A asymmetric structure transfer enhancement presented study. After comparing predictions under various Reynolds number. It observed that, percentages effectiveness final range 2.5-6.2% remains almost constant cases inlet velocity fixed at 9.5627 m/s. The increasing numerically verified improve distribution exchanger.
